2019 FEBRUARY SEMESTER AT RUCID ENDS

Greetings to all. Our 2019 February semester at RUCID has come to the end. We thank God for his protection and providence. Thank you for supporting us.

The annual RUCID / KIOF  student exchange program has also come to an end. RUCID students returned home on 5/5/2019, and KIOF students will travel Saturday 12/5/2019, arrive in Nairobi 12/5/2019. It has been a semester where students have had limited garden work due to the prolonged drought.

Our 9th graduation was held on 25/4/2019, congratulations to our new graduates; the world has been waiting for your services. Wishing you you the best and the sky is the limit.

Rotary club of Abingdon Vespa(UK) has sponsored 16 interns taking principles and practices of organic agriculture,record keeping and extension. the training will end in April 2020, marked by a 10 th graduation.

RUCID host students fro the Netherlands and teachers fro 12/5/2019 to 15/5/2019. program has been designed to provide room for the students be able to share experiences status of agriculture in The Netherlands compared to agriculture in Uganda specifically Lubanja Mityana. RUCID students therefore will stay behind till our visitors have left.

The holiday will end on 30/06/2019,and the students will proceed for the annual farm management Industrial Training at the Makerere University Research Institute,Kabanyolo on 1/7/2019. The industrial training will end on 9/8/2019.

RUCID will host professors and students from different universities including Makerere University, Gulu university, Uganda Martyr’s University, Nkozi, and Swedish University of Agriculture. They will get acquaintance to the organic technology innovations at RUCID, see how research can be conducted in order to validate these technologies.

The semester for 2019/2020 new students will begin 19/08/2019. Applications are called for for the registrations for certificate and diploma in organic agriculture, National Certificate in Agriculture, National Diploma in Crop Production and Management, National Diploma in Animal Production and Management and certificate in Food processing and value addition.

There is still room for enrollment for short courses in various skills training, examined by Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) a department of the ministry of Education and Sports.
